Lorena Romero joined the Ethos team in March 2023 as a Sr. Payroll Specialist. She has over 12 years of payroll processing and four years of HR experience, including new hire orientation and benefits enrollment. Lorena has worked with most of the popular payroll platforms and is an expert in the nuances of multi-state payroll processing.

In her current role, she is working with clients providing guidance and support in payroll, including research and compliance issues. Lorena has experience implementing payroll processing procedures that meet federal and state standards for tax withholding, unemployment insurance deductions, and other requirements. She is bilingual in English and Spanish.

Lorena is a Southern California native and lives with her husband and three children, and her dog, Benny. When she is not busy attending her children’s baseball and softball games, she learns and performs Mexican Folklorico dances at events with her dance troop.
