I really enjoyed your presentation about how to sell to D, i, S, and C leaders. It turned out to be really timely! This morning, we were introduced to a new Associate Vice President at an institution we’ve been working with, and I was so surprised to see how low-key, relatively slow-paced, and non-energetic he was. We adjusted our tempo toward his, lowered our voices, and did our best to match our High D and High i energies to his. After a while, he asked us whether we knew about the DiSC and asked us if we could guess what he is. I immediately said “S” and added how good it was to contemplate working with a person who really values the person behind the task as much or more than the task itself. He beamed from ear to ear, and expressed his admiration for our ability to pinpoint that he is a solid “S.”
